I am the owner of Assisted Living Locators of Charleston and I work with families to navigate the process of finding Senior Care for themselves or their loved ones. I grew up in Spartanburg, graduated from the College of Charleston, and have called Charleston my home for over 25 years.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with nonprofit organizations focused on helping communities and families. Now, as a Senior Care Advisor, I work directly with families during this important transition by providing expert guidance, insight, and support. Whether guiding you through In-Home Care, Independent Living, Assisted Living, or Memory Care placement, my goal is to make a difficult and often emotional process as simple, stress-free and well-informed as possible, all at no cost to you.
When it comes to finding Senior Living options in the Lowcountry, I am your local, hands-on senior care advisor and advocate. I work with a range of budgets, beginning at $3,400 per month for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. I can also help you find solutions for In-Home Care needs. My service is provided at no cost to you.
About Leigh Thomson
Leigh Thomson is a Senior Care Advisor with Assisted Living Locators of Charleston, bringing more than 15 years of experience in healthcare, senior services, community outreach and relationship-building throughout the Lowcountry. Before joining Assisted Living Locators, Leigh served in leadership roles with Dorchester Seniors and Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with older adults, caregivers, healthcare providers, social workers and community organizations, helping people navigate services, understand their options, and connect with the resources they need. This experience gives her a strong understanding of both the healthcare system and the senior care resources available throughout the Lowcountry. For Leigh, helping families navigate aging is also personal. She stepped away from full-time work to spend time with and help care for an aging parent, giving her firsthand insight into the questions, decisions and emotions families can experience as a loved one’s needs begin to change. A Summerville resident with deep connections throughout the Lowcountry, Leigh brings a warm, hands-on and personal approach to every family she serves. She takes the time to understand each person’s care needs, budget, lifestyle and priorities, then provides personalized, in-person guidance throughout the process—from exploring options and touring communities to making a decision, navigating the move and providing support beyond placement. Leigh’s goal is to make what can feel like an overwhelming process more manageable, helping families feel informed, supported, and confident in the decisions they make for someone they love.
